Both Ryan Hardy and Dave Winchester were unstoppable in their semi final heats and progressed to the final round alongside Pierre Louis Costes (FRA) and Guilherme Tamega (BRA). Ryans form continued into the final with a deep Pipeline barrel / roll combo scoring a 9.43 with a second similar wave scoring a 6.43 from the judges, fending off Pierre Louis Costes who’s invert’s and air reverse’s at Backdoor were not enough to take the crown."
